Changes to registration requirements for lamps
LED lamp suppliers must meet requirements under the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (GEMS) (LED Lamps) Determination 2025 by March 3, 2026.
Incandescent lamp suppliers must meet requirements under GEMS (Incandescent Lamps for General Lighting Services) Determination 2024 starting Oct. 4, 2025.
Ballasts for fluorescent lamps and transformers and electric step-down converters for extra-low-voltage (ELV) halogen lamps are no longer regulated under the E3 Program within Australia.
